His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Region, will patron a celebration that held by Asharqia Chamber on Tuesday 26 March 2019, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the launch of AlEqtisad magazine, with the participation of a number of businessmen, businesswomen and intellectuals at the headquarter of the Chamber in Dammam.
The Chairman of the Board of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, said that AlEqtisad magazine of the Chamber represents the reality of growth and development in the economic media discourse.
He stressed that this magazine carried over five decades of the Chamber's mission to serve the private sector and contribute to the development of the investment environment in the Kingdom in general and the Eastern region in particular.
It is, therefore, an information and cultural project that has always supported the role of the business sector in terms of comprehensive national development.
He pointed out that this celebration is a tribute to the efforts made over the past 50 years to express thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to achieving this achievement, which serves the economic and media arena alike.
Al-Khalidi valued Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, for sponsoring the ceremony by saying, "this patronage from His Highness affirms beyond doubt His Highness's keenness to support the activity of the business sector and to sponsor all the activities that it carries out."
He added that this patronage is a generous "gesture" by His Highness for this achievement, as it is a reason for us and those who maintain this magazine to continue to give and work to serve the national economy and the service of this country giving.
Al-Khalidi added that the magazine adopted over the past five decades a specialized economic information message through which it sought to support the development plans and economic renaissance.
The magazine, through many qualified and distinguished talents, is working to monitor and highlight the broad hopes of leading the country in the economic field, and to discuss important issues in a neutral and objective manner through which awareness of local and non-local economic issues and affairs is raised.
Al-Khalidi pointed out that the magazine is currently a real supporter of the private sector in order to meet the requirements of Vision 2030, which was in the forefront of publications and the media in Saudi Arabia in monitoring the details of the Vision and explore its horizons and display to the public,
"We are convinced that this Vision carries with it the overall good of this country, and that the image of the future embodied by this vision wise," he said.
Al-Khalidi concluded that the magazine has been in the past 50 years as it documented the most important and most influential events in the national economy, including the oil boom and the great achievements witnessed by our country during the last 50 years, the huge industrial projects in the Kingdom and in the Eastern Region in particular, as it saw all the merits of the modern economic renaissance at various levels.
